Delta Steps Out

Welcome to Delta Steps Out !

Whether you are 8 or 80 years old, fit as a fiddle or snuggled in a stroller...The Corporation of Delta wants to challenge you to take a step. In fact, we want you to take 2000 steps! We will provide you with your own pedometer to make it fun and easy. "Delta Steps Out" is an important part of Delta's Active Community challenge to increase fitness levels by 20% by 2010.

What is "Delta Steps Out"?

Delta Steps Out! is an independent walking program with a focus on physical activity and healthy living with active support from Delta Parks, Recreation and Culture department in partnership with caring sponsors in our community. Our goal is to bring awareness to the benefits of daily physical activity in our schools, work sites and community. You can increase your activity level each day, track this as you go and use the website for inspiration and learning while making it fun at the same time. Join the team as we inspire, assess and empower you to take positive steps to better health and wellness. We will monitor your progress and give you helpful advice on healthy living and eating choices. Meet new people, get active and win prizes!

Steps can also be earned by participating in activities other than walking. Please see the Activity Equivalency Chart for more information.
