What is KickStart “Steps Out”?
- KickStart “Steps Out” is an independent walking/ pedometer program designed to create a healthy community in which physical activity is valued by motivating participants to get active. Pedometers and information packages are provided to encourage goal setting and monitor individual success.
- With the use of any computer you will be able to track and log your steps and progress.
The School District Steps Out program is mapping a walk from Kelowna to Ottawa. You can watch your progress on the map as you walk your way across Canada.
What is KickStart?

- Is about getting people and communities active.
- Is a Community Driven initiative focusing on creating an awareness of the benefits of physical activity, and how it positively impacts health and wellness?
- Is part of a 5 year Active Communities program that is focused on increasing physical activity levels in our community 20% by 2010.
